It all begins with fair compensation. We believe in paying people well and rewarding those who take on more significant responsibility.
This includes up to 21 days of paid time off and 4 days paid time for community service, so you can contribute to a cause you feel strongly about.
Fully paid health and dental insurance for employees, and 50% paid health and dental insurance for dependents and family members.
Free web hosting, company paid travel, and endless learning and growth opportunities come with the job, too.
Finding the right people takes time and effort, and we want our team to consist of people
who have both the aptitude and attitude necessary to succeed
in our hard working, mobile, and customer service driven culture.
To achieve all of this, our hiring process is an extensive one. If you're applying with us, here is what you should expect. Please understand that your interview may not include all of the following steps:
including an in-depth interview related to job skills, and one with our CEO
for some positions, we'll arrange an on-site interview so we can meet face-to-face
sometimes we'll ask you to complete a short project or task related to your skill set
Although we're growing fast (and quite selective), you'll find that we're friendly, transparent, and most importantly, we won't leave you hanging during the hiring process. We'll be sure you're up to speed in terms of what to expect, and we're happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.
At A Small Orange, we're passionate about delivering solid customer service and making sure our employees have the desire to grow along with us on the job, and in their personal life. We know that things move ridiculously fast in the web hosting world, and we want to make sure our people are ready for whatever changes come along.
We also know that there's a big world outside the office, and having an appropriate work/life balance is crucial. Let's face it - flexibility is an essential component to the modern workplace, and we work hard to ensure that our employees have the flexibility to take care of things that inevitably come up.
A Small Orange has offices in downtown Durham, NC and Austin, TX, both of which are close to nightlife, restaurants, and plenty of live music. We ask that our local employees come into the office whenever they can. We've designed our offices to be friendly and casual spaces and provide plenty of perks such as company paid lunches, snacks, gaming machines, and more.
To connect our global employee base, we have many different ways of connecting with each other to foster community. We've found that company/team meetups and frequent "Town Hall" meetings via webcam (among other things) are great ways to get everyone up to speed. Employees outside of Durham and Austin who live close to each other are encouraged to get together on a regular basis as well.
Since all of our positions are full time positions with benefits, we expect A Small Orange to be your only hosting-related job. Also, please note that due to administrative limitations, some benefits may not be available to employees outside of the United States.Apply Now!
